NSW: Teen jailed after rail commuter steps to death on tracks=2

Outside court today, Mr Harris' partner Ian McLaughlin said Kerr's sentence was fair
but there were no winners in such a tragic situation.

"For us as a family we thought that as long as he was found guilty, that was fine,
but there are no winners in this situation," Mr McLaughlin told reporters.

"I feel sorry for (Kerr) and his family but Chris is gone.

"They still have a son, a brother and a friend - we don't have that any more.
